Commercial energy monitoring & control

Every building spends energy in the dark.

A utility bill shows the total. It never shows the reason. We install technology that answers the reason — watching your building circuit by circuit, day and night.

Commercial Energy Monitoring

Three technologies, one system

Complete building energy management for Colorado

ARE Solar is Colorado’s first Best Energy licensee. Eniscope monitors. Air Technology extends that reach further. CUES targets refrigeration directly. Together, they turn invisible waste into a number — then into a fixed problem.

Meter

Eniscope

Mounts at your electrical panel and meters up to eight three-phase circuits, second by second. Alarms flag abnormal patterns on their own — a compressor short-cycling, consumption running outside business hours. It brings electricity, gas, and water data into one platform. One system covers every utility the building consumes.

Sense & switch

Air Technology

Air Sense units read temperature, humidity, occupancy and light in a room. Air Switch and Air Ambient go one step further — shutting equipment down on a schedule, or based on occupancy. Monitoring finds the waste. Control removes it. Pulse inputs pick up your gas and water meters, too. It gives a clearer view of every utility your building consumes.

Refrigeration

CUES

Refrigeration gets its own device. CUES is a food-safe simulant placed over your existing temperature probe. The refrigerator reacts to the food’s actual temperature, not the air around it. Compressor cycling can drop by up to 80 percent. It’s NSF Protocol P235-approved, built around one job: fewer cycles, less wear, longer equipment life.

How We Approach Commercial Energy Management: Monitor, Detect, Adjust

We install the equipment and baseline your building first. No changes yet; we watch.

Then we sit down with you and walk through the data. You know your operation better than we do.

Only then do we adjust: schedules, setpoints, controls. And we keep watching after that, because buildings change. That cycle typically eliminates around 18 percent of a building’s energy waste.

Best Energy’s global partner network has documented results at this scale for years. A Florida school district projects $8 million a year in savings. A Florida-conditioned retirement community cut its annual spend by 35 percent. We’re Colorado’s first Best Energy licensee, built on that same measure-first discipline.

Why This Matters for Denver Building Owners

Denver adds another reason to measure. Energize Denver sets energy performance targets for large buildings, with penalties for missing them.

You can’t manage a building you can’t measure. That’s exactly what this monitoring gives you: the data needed to understand performance against those targets.

The Cost of Skipping Energy Consumption Monitoring

Every month without this data is a month of guessing. Guessing at what’s running, what’s failing, what’s owed.

Buildings typically eliminate close to a fifth of their energy waste. Most owners had no idea it was there until they could see it.

The only way to know what your building is losing is to look. Start with whichever piece matches your building below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Best Energy is a commercial energy monitoring and management system. Sensors track a building’s circuits, temperatures, and equipment in real time. The data identifies waste, and targeted changes eliminate it.

No. It’s the other half. Solar reduces what you buy from the utility. Efficiency reduces what your building uses. Together they compound.

The system monitors gas and water consumption as well as electricity, plus refrigeration and HVAC performance.

Monitoring creates evidence for finding waste and measuring completed improvements. Owners remain responsible for official benchmarking and compliance submissions.

A utility bill shows one total after the billing period. Monitoring shows when, where, and how that energy was used.
